Knitting obsession is slowly creeping

Seriously. I think I may be going over the edge. Today, I got 3 books, which, under the normal circumstances, would have been, well, normal. But take a look at what I got!

If you don't get it, I got knitting books. knitting mysteries. ABOUT KNITTING! As you know, I usually don't pay much attention to how obsessed I am with knitting, other than the fact that somehow I always want to push it. My goal seems to be as passionate about knitting as the Yarn harlot. But when I took a look at those books, the first thing that I felt was not a feeling of pleasure, but a feeling of uneasiness. Am I really going insane over knitting? I felt a twinge, and I'm actually feeling it now as I remember it. freaky. Knitting obsession is slowly approaching, but I'm afraid that knitting insanity is also approaching. Scary.

Of course, I think that I may have an alibi. Because even though I'm reading a lot of knitting books I don't read ALL knitting, I hardly watch Knitting TV (mostly because there's no knitting TV to watch) and I don't YouTube how to learn different ways to knit (yet. I want to learn that Irish cottage style. gah! it's happening again!) and I'm not exactly listening to many knitting podcasts. So, I don't think it's that bad. What do you think?

Hey, picture update with Mary's jaquet. She's in San Fran, for training for summer camp counseling. But, I think I might actually get the blasted thing done before she comes back. take a look!

I'm pretty darn close. Just one more sleeve lining and button, and I think I also need to sew down that collar. Soon, though, I'll be working on other projects. Like my mittens! I'm making them especially for Lent, which is coming up this Wed. I can hardly wait continue. (I cast on today, I couldn't resist!)
Obsession is slowly creeping,
parallel to insanity, but not quite.
I might up and consume yarn, with a wild look in my eyes.
Or, I might smooth my hair, walk along, and keep knitting like a fiend. Waiting for the opportune moment, to strike.
....
....
....
Did that scare you?
Told you I was a knit twit! :)

Hi, Cimorine! You've gotten me interested in these knitting mysteries, and I wonder which one I should start with; any recommendations? Also, have you seen www.wcmercantile.com? They have some beautiful yarn, at least to my mind. The pictures on your blog are great; the jaquet is amazing! Take care, and happy knitting.

P.S. The Brown Sheep Lanaloft wool at WC Mercantile is beautiful, especially the one called "Grape Vines". Please let me know what you think! :-)
