Wednesday

What a day it was! I was very tired but content when I finally crawled into my bed. Wednesday, I went out with Cold Soul again, only this time, I went to Hillsboro. We didn't get lost (though I suspect that this was only because we were in a small downtown, where if you got lost for more than a 1/2 hour, you are either mentally unstable, or you are really stupid.) Just kidding! I had a lot of fun watching the Phantom of the Opera with Cold Soul. However, when the Phantom shows Christine his "Christine Doll," and she faints, and he picks her up and carries her to a swan bed (no, he doesn't sleep with her!), he seemed so unfazed by it that somehow, It struck me that he might have planned for this. And then for about 1/2 of the rest of the movie, I kept thinking about the Phantom, when he'd been making the doll, and what he was thinking.

"Oh boy, a life-size doll of Christine. Not that I'm obsessed or anything, but I also made a stage that looks just like the opera house, and it's filled with a bunch of little dolls that look like everyone in the theater. Not that I'm obsessed, or anything.

"And, oh, I can't wait to show Christine the life-size doll of her! It's all part of my master plan . . . walk through the mirror, take Christine down the steps, (pray that she's delusional all the while) and when I show her the doll, she'll faint, and then she'll have to stay with me tonight. Not that I'm obsessed, or anything."

The vision of the Phantom, crouched around his life-size Christine doll, rubbing his hands in anticipation of Christine fainting . . . It was too much. I hope Cold soul didn't notice my snorts through the rest of the movie (or at least until it got really serious and I succeeded in placing that vision behind me). I know she's bound to read this, and Cold soul, I'm sorry. It was too much. Trust me, there will be parts in the Scarlet Pimpernel that you'll be cracking up over, too. I still love the phantom, but the beginning . . . oh my gosh, Someone should write a comic strip!

Anyway, The rest of the movie was actually well done, and good, and I liked it. I liked Madam Giry, just because she's cool. The Phantom, I pity him. He's awesome.

So, that was Wednesday, wonderful, thanks to Cold soul. And now, back to knitting.

I think for my next project, I'll knit a life-size doll of my favorite knitter, the yarn harlot.

Not that I'm obsessed or anything.

I thought you were obsessed with Manon; won't he be jealous? :-)
