I'm Baaaaack!

Hey everyone! I'm back! I'm sorry I've been gone, but hey, I was on vacation! Anyway, I want to present the beauty that is the rapidly growing sweater I worked on (but didn't finish, big surprise) throughout the triduum. Behold! Teresa's February kid-sweater!
Not bad, eh?

I loved working on it, even if the sleeves got me down until I actually memorized the lace pattern (who knew lace could be so simple?) and despite my first reaction to my mom's request.

"You should make one for my neighbor friend (who's really been kind to you) and one for your choir teacher (Anna song, who I've loved and babysat for) because they would look so good on them!"
Oh boy. two more sweaters, almost identical. I don't usually like to repeat things, because I like to move forward, but luckily, at least the color will be different, not to mention the sizes. I think I need to buy new needles, though.
Speaking of new needles, I've lost my size 10 circulars. Dang it. I LIKED them! and they were BRAND NEW! (sigh) what's a girl to do with her needles? I think I should really strap them to the ground, so they can't get away. Maybe they're under my computer (I saw them last next to my computer, so it's likely that they just fell down)

A new project is coming up. Well, a hibernating project is coming out of hibernation. And I'm not so sure I like it. I had a problem with my Mom's Christmas/birthday sweater, and I don't know what I'll do. I figure I have to start work by May, to have it done in time for her birthday, June 14th (a day after my graduation! Yippee!).
Let us hope that the accursed sweater does not rebel against me, and that I will not have to suppress an uprising of knitting. I could potentially loose my knitting Mojo, and then where would I be? I'm afraid, that in the dead of night, that sweater will cause my design sweater (the AMA sweater) to rebel against me, and in a fit of anger and outrage, I might yank all that hard work off the needles. (Gasp!)
Okay, Cimorine, keep it together. Breathe. in. out. (whoosh!) That's better. What am I thinking? I have Manon? fully finnished.

Speaking of which, Manon and I are going strong. I wore him as often as I could over the weekend, and was pleased to see that he didn't shrink in the wash (I knew he was washable, but hey, after that tan sweater (shudder) it was a relief!).
Ciao for now,
Cimorine.

Nice to see you back! The sweater is coming along nicely; I really like the color. And you and Manon are a great couple, as usual. June 13 is a great day for graduation! It's the feast of Saint Anthony, one of my favorite saints. Maybe he'll help you find your lost knitting needles if you ask him! Happy knitting. :-)

I'm glad you had a good Easter! I didn't do anything really exciting. Even though you owe me a letter, I think I have to write you one like NOW because some exciting stuff is happening...!!!!
