WOW! I have gotten SO FAR on my Redwall sweater! ok, well, it's not that far considering how far I have to go, but it's really not bad at all!
My Redwall tribute is going fine, in terms of the knitting. However, I think I will have to do some books on tape, because finding the time to read these books is actually hard. I usually only have the weekend, and even then I have schoolwork, which always takes precedence, and so I have only Sunday to finish the books. I think I am going to take a break from the books this week. I have hardly started Bellmaker, and I would like to get to bed on time tonight.
Here's the plan for my sweater. After I finish this cabling strip, I will pick up stitches (because I do so love to pick up stitches!) and knit upwards to make the cardigan, though I won't go in a round. the edges of the sweater will be in the cabled pattern, too. how exciting! the sleeve cuffs will be big enough so that I can put my hands in my sleeves like a real monk or nun, and they will also have the cableing on them. When I get to the neck, I will continue knitting, with the cabled pattern, to make a divine hood that will look absolutely smashing. I cannot wait to see this sweater! I wonder if I will need to add some sort of shaping on it, or if it hanging straight will be alright on my figure. . . .
Ciao for now,
Cimorine
